Cannon Building’s Safety Award to Mark Duckworth

Cannon Building’s safety program is constantly being monitored to ensure that new standards are being met and proactive steps are being taken to comply in all areas. Mark Duckworth, Superintendent, based in Cannon Building’s San Diego office, exemplifies the company’s high safety standards for which he recently received Cannon Building’s annual safety award for performance in the 2015 business year.

In presenting the award, Tim J. Cannon, President of Cannon Building, cited Mark’s strong presence in the field and his reputation for being firm and fair in enforcing safety standards. “Mark is well respected by our subcontractors, and he adheres to high safety standards on their behalf, as well as for owners and owner’s reps,” according to Tim.

Cannon Building begins each project with a Site Specific Safety Plan designed to identify potential risk and eliminate safety hazards. Cannon Building employees and subcontractors attend safety kick-off meetings prior to beginning every project. Weekly jobsite safety inspections enforce the plan. In addition, Cannon Building hires third party independent consultants to perform job site inspections and to evaluate our safety practices in the field.

Thank you, Mark for being a leader and upholding Cannon Building’s highest standards.
